  1. In “The Globe and Mail”, February 1st, 2010, Sunny Dhillon told the public the tragedy of sled dogs happened in Whistler in which lots of dogs were slaughtered for business. However, he also mentioned the reality of the people who practiced it, so that we can see the entire story.

When Olympic finished, the income of tourism dropped remarkably. Since Outdoor Adventures Whistler had to make money, dozens of dogs were slaughtered for entertainment.
SPCA officials came to Whistler to investigate the gravesite to investigate what exactly happened when those dogs were killed. According to the employees of Outdoor Adventures, the numbers of dead dogs was nearly 100.
The grave location remained to be secret. Because SPCA officials were worried that if the public knew the place, many people came to pay their respects and might complicate the investigation. As a matter of fact, the members of a Facebook group which demanded the boycott of Outdoor Adventure Whistler reached to approximately 21000, though some of the threatening posts were deleted. And also Whistler RCMP had received calls from across North America from people who wanted to express their concerns and help SPCA’s investigation.
However, there seemed to be the situations that the employees were tasked to kill the dogs and actually didn’t want to do that. A man who concerned the slaughter of the dogs had the symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder and Stein Hoff, a veterinarian, also said most of those who run such business treated and took care of their animals as if they were their family.
